Mary Ann (Capoccia) Counts passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025. She was born September 16, 1942, to the late Anthony and Carmel Capoccia. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Terry Counts, Sr.
Mary Ann devoted her life to her family and was known for her gentle nature, and unwavering loyalty to those she loved. She spent many years working for G&J Pepsi and later at Helpbringer Mortgage, where she built meaningful relationships and was valued for her dedication and strong work ethic. Outside of work, Mary Ann was an avid book lover and reader who found joy in time spent with loved ones, and the simple pleasures of everyday life.
She is survived by her son, Terry M. (Lisa) Counts, Jr.; granddaughter, Marissa Counts; her brother, Tony Capoccia, Jr., and his wife Kathy; and her extended family of aunts, nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Family and friends may call from 4–7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Schoedinger Northeast, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna.
A Funeral Service will be held the following day, December 4, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation in Mary Ann’s honor.
