Later, she became a charter employee of Victoria’s Secret when the company first began and went on to work there for more than 15 years before retiring.
Mary Lou had a deep love for spending time with family and friends. She especially enjoyed playing euchre and card games during family gatherings and was always ready for a game of 31. She was also a devoted sports fan who loved cheering on the Cincinnati Bengals and the Ohio State Buckeyes. One of her greatest joys was attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and supporting them in all their activities.
She is survived by her loving children, Debbie (Bill) Zimmerman, Tony (Mickey) Clay, Brenda Scarey and Tina (Ron) Carano; sister, Georgia Gibson and she was a proud grandmother to 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, James Dixon; her parents; Harold and Gladys (Thompson) Conaway; her sister, Eloise Hunter; and her stepsons, James Dixon and Larry Dixon.
Her family would also like to recognize and sincerely thank Cindy and Terry Bernsteil for the care and kindness they provided to Mary Lou during her time of need. Their support meant so much to her and to our family.
