Mike graduated from Eastland-Fairfield Career Center and Groveport Madison High School in 1975. He also graduated from Franklin University. Mike enjoyed listening to Alan Jackson and George Strait and watching Elvis and 007 movies. He was a Corvette enthusiast – he owned a 1981 Corvette Stingray, which he showed at the Good Guys Hot Rod Show. Mike was passionate about financial stability and invested money for fun as a member of the Buckeye Investment Group (BIG). He owned and operated Meta Technical Sales, representing multiple manufacturers in the technology industry.
Spending time and making memories with family and friends were extremely important to Mike. Hilton Head and Las Vegas were among his favorite vacation spots. Mike was an incredible bonus dad to Alexandria, Dylan, and Conner. He loved riding bicycles with his buddies, followed by beers at a local dive bar. Mike created “Mitchflix”, our own library of movies to take with us on vacations. He is infamous for giving us lots of Mitchell mannerisms, such as “If you are not early, you are late.” Bring your favorite Mike Mitchell-isms with you to share during this time.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, George (Betty) Mitchell and Elaine McCormack Mitchell.
