Nancy A Marrie

Nancy Ann Marrie, 82, of New Albany, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 28. Nancy was born on December 23, 1940, and was named Winifred after her mother. To avoid confusion between the two Winnie Marries, the family began calling her Nancy, as a nickname for her middle name of Ann. She’s been Nancy ever since. Nancy deeply loved her family and was happiest when she was holding a baby. She worked diligently in payroll and accounting her whole career until she was 70 years old.

She is preceded in death by her dear parents, Tom and Winnie Marrie, her sister, Mary (Jim) Laubenthal, her brothers Tom Marrie, Jack (Marcia) Marrie, and Jim Marrie, and many other family members and friends.

She is survived by her sisters-in-law Carole Marrie and Linda Marrie, and her 16 nieces and nephews, Kerri (Paul) Mollard, Tom (Suzanne) Laubenthal, Dan (Teri) Laubenthal, Marty (Heidi) Laubenthal, Jamie (Shirleen) Laubenthal, Debbie (Dennis) Casey, Colleen (Garth) Grant, Tim Marrie, Kevin (Rita, deceased) Marrie, Sean (Tammy) Marrie, Megan (Devin) Schlickmann, Cathy (Dan) Barrett, John (Michele) Marrie, Matt (Jen) Marrie, Ryan (Terri) Marrie, and Kristen (Tony) Morelli. Nancy has 36 great-nieces/nephews, 20 great-great nieces/nephews, and many more who have known and loved her as a friend and beloved “Aunt Nancy.”

The family will receive friends at Schoedinger Margarum Northeast, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH 43230 on Sunday, September 3 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 4, 2023 at Church of the Resurrection, 6300 East Dublin-Granville Rd, New Albany, OH 43054.

Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, 14609 Brookpark Rd, Brook Park, OH 44142 on Saturday, October 14 at 11:00 AM.
