Patricia “Cookie” White-Watson was born on November 3, 1943, to Paul and Peg Watson. A proud member of the first graduating class of Sheridan High School, she earned her diploma in 1961. She went on to pursue a lifelong calling in healthcare, graduating from Mount Carmel School of Nursing in 1965. Driven and dedicated, Patricia later returned to The Ohio State University to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, a career she embraced with passion and purpose.
Pat’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother to her sons Drew White (wife Samara) and Shawn White (wife Lindsay). Her life was beautifully enriched by her role as Nana to her cherished grandchildren: Colin (wife Rachael) and Evan (children of Drew), and Ethan and Ellie (children of Shawn and Lindsay). She was also blessed to see the next generation, welcoming great-granddaughter Sarah and great-grandson Carter, children of Colin and Rachael.
She is survived by her sister Sally, and proceeded in death by her parents, Paul and Peg Watson, and her brother Jeff.
Pat was an avid photographer with a keen eye for capturing life’s quiet beauty. She was deeply committed to her profession, known for her compassion and skill as a nurse anesthetist. Beyond her career and family, she gave generously of herself to others, living a life marked by kindness, service, and philanthropy.
On Thursday, October 16, Patricia passed peacefully at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville, Ohio, following a three-month battle with cancer. She leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and grace—a life fully and beautifully lived.
She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered by those who were blessed to know and love her.
A visitation will be held at Schoedinger Margarum Northeast, located at 1051 E Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio, 43230, on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The funeral service will follow on Friday, October 24, 2025, starting at 11:00 am.
