Ronette was living her childhood dream of life on a farm, surrounded by horses and the beauty of the countryside. She treasured farm life and was dearly loved by her neighbors for her caring spirit. She knew the birthdays of their children and grandchildren and celebrated their accomplishments as if they were her own.
She and her youngest son, Noah, were active members of 4-H in equestrian contesting, where Ronette also faithfully served as a 4-H advisor. Her deep love for children and passion for justice led her to serve as a volunteer child advocate with CASA/GAL for 18 years, supporting children in Wyandot, Seneca, and Sandusky counties.
Ronette was an avid reader, especially of the Holy Bible, and her faith guided every part of her life. She was a devoted member of Community Bible Church in Arlington, Ohio. She found joy in sewing, yarn work, quilting, crafting, tending to her flowers, and encouraging others in their pursuits.
She will be dearly missed by her husband of 25 years, Jeff; children, Megan Carpenter, Nick (Rosie) Smith, Erick Smith and Noah Cheney; 4 beautiful grandchildren; as well as their large combined families, many friends, neighbors, and community members whose lives she touched. Her warmth, generosity, and steadfast love will remain a lasting legacy.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Community Bible Church, 22022 US 68, Arlington, Ohio, 45814 on March 7, 2026, at 12:00 noon. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in Ronette’s memory may be directed the Church or to EverGrowing Ministries, 1031 Brenda CT Findlay OH 45840.
