Sherry Reneé LaBute Brink

Sherry Reneé LaBute Brink, age 67, of Gahanna, Ohio passed away June 9, 2023 after an eight year battle with cancer. Sherry was born on September 26, 1955, in Dearborn, Michigan. She graduated from Schafer High School in 1973 and attended Henry Ford College in Dearborn, Michigan.

Sherry is survived by her loving husband, Gary Brink, of Gahanna; her mother Gloria LaBute, of Southgate, Michigan; her son Ryan (Julie), of Columbus; son Kevin (Jennifer) and grandson Brayden, of Grove City; daughter Andrea (Courtney), of Grove City; her sister Beverly (Tom) Perry, of Huntsville, Alabama; her sisters Lana (Mike) LaBute Klosterman and Laurie LaBute Compean, of Michigan; as well as dear nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors and colleagues. She was preceded in death by her father Darwin “Buzz” LaBute.

Some of her most cherished memories are from time spent with her loving family. Besides spending time with her family and friends, Sherry had a passion for cooking and baking, traveling, apple picking, church activities, playing cards, bird watching, and caring for her dog Chloe. She adored children (both her own and those of friends and family) and loved caring for them. Sherry had a bright and energetic personality and touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life.

Family will receive friends Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 5-8 p.m. at Schoedinger Northeast, 1051 E Johnstown Rd, Gahanna, Ohio 43230. A Memorial Service celebrating Sherry’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2023 at Cornerstone Community Church, 233 S State St, Westerville, Ohio 43081.
