Stephen A. Young

Stephen had a deep love for music and taught himself to play guitar, collecting many along the way. He cherished time with his family, visiting his parents every Sunday, and especially enjoyed raising and playing guitar with his niece, Layla. A passionate sports fan, Stephen loved hockey and football and was always looking forward to cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Stephen’s faith was an important part of his life. He was a saved man who believed in God and never let anything keep him down. His kindness, strength, and devotion to his family will always be remembered.

He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie; parents, Harold (Steve) Young and Kimberly (Tinsley) Young; grandmother, Joanne Tinsley; grandparents, Harold and Charlotte Young; brother, Zakk (Lauren) Young and niece Charlotte; sister, Ashley (Bryce) Krueger and nephew Calvin; parents-in-laws, Sheila Marquis and Keith Swangim; as well as 11 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandpa Ray Tinsley and nephew Joseph Micheals.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 5–8 p.m. at Schoedinger Northeast, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with interment to follow at Mifflin Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Research Society.
