Steve Carpenter

Steve Carpenter, 63, passed away unexpectedly on December 10, 2023. He was born on October 7, 1960 in Columbus, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army and obtained the rank of Sergeant. After being honorably discharged, Steve worked as a machinist. Outside of his work, Steve had an immense passion for music and was in a rock band.

Steve is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Evangeline; mother, Twila Groves; and sister Cindy Green. Left to cherish his memory are his son, Josh (Shirley) Bolyard, of Williamsport, OH; his daughter, Ella Carpenter, of Delaware, OH; his grandchildren Drake, Joshua, Skylar, and Joseph; his brother, Bob Carpenter; and many dear nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, from 11am-1pm at Schoedinger NORTHEAST Funeral Home, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH 43230, with Steve’s funeral service to follow at 1pm. Services will conclude with interment at Mifflin Township Cemetery in Gahanna.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Steve’s memory to the Hope Center at their new address, 123 N. Court St., Marysville, OH 43040, or to the Salvation Army Supportive Services for Veteran Families at 3769 Columbus Pike Ste. 220, Delaware, OH 43015.
