Susie was a vibrant and spirited woman who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved traveling, especially trips to casinos and Buckeye games, and could often be found enjoying a Diet Coke while shopping or spending time with those she loved. She never missed an opportunity to get her nails done and always appreciated looking and feeling her best. Above all, Susie cherished her family—her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the center of her world.
She is survived by her husband, John H. Sandusky; her children, John H. Sandusky II (Jana), Michael S. Sandusky (Kelley), and Jennifer L. Burkett (Dan); 11 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Susie was preceded in death by her father, Arnold B. Johnson, MD, and her mother, Katherine “Kate” V. Johnson.
Family and friends may gather for calling hours on Friday, April 24, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with a service to follow at 12:00 p.m. at Mifflin Presbyterian Church, 123 Granville Street, Gahanna, OH 43230. A private interment will be held at a later date.
