Vicki King Kyle

Born on January 1, 1947, in Toledo, Ohio, she was the daughter of Robert and Margaret Gerding. Vicki lived a life full of kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion and selflessness to her family and friends.

She is remembered most for her immense love for her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter, generous compassion for others, and her love of cooking. Her backyard was her sanctuary, as she spent countless hours enjoying the beautiful gardens and paths where she found peace and joy.

Vicki is survived by her husband, Robert Kyle; daughter, Nancy (Steve) Waterhouse and grandson Connor; daughter, Angie King, granddaughter, Amanda (Blake) Luebben and great-granddaughter, Tatum, granddaughter, Adrienne Ashbaugh, and grandson, Tyler Ashbaugh; step-daughter, Misty (Stacey) Lunder, grandkids, Chandler Quinn, Philip Lunder, and Victoria Clark; brother Rob (Marsha) Gerding, brother-in-law Jerry (Jane) Kyle, and sister-in-law Ruth (Gerhard) Maroscher. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as her beloved cousins, Kathleen, Billie, and Christine, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond rooted in cherished memories, family traditions, and deep friendship. Together, they brought immense laughter, love, and steadfast support to her life. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, especially her family, who will forever cherish her warm embrace and infectious laughter.

A memorial celebration will be held at a later date, in Port Clinton, Ohio – a hometown that always held a special place in her heart. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the ALS Foundation in her memory.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the ALS Clinic at OSU, Hospice of Central Ohio, and Theresa Richard, Medical Speech-Language Pathologist, for their support and compassion.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
