Aaron Daniel Fetner, a resident of Mt. Olive, Alabama, was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on June 3, 1942 and he went to be with the Lord on April 1, 2022, at the age of 79. He was a member of Enon Baptist Church. He graduated from Phillips High School, served in the United States Air Force, and retired from Norfolk-Southern Railroad after more than 30 years. After retiring he and his beloved wife spent several years in Mt. Dora, Florida enjoying their time together. While in Mt. Dora he was an active member in the Kiwanis.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vonda Fetner and daughter Lynn Normand. He is survived by his daughter, Carmen (Jonathan) Kilgore; son, Michael (Tonya) Fetner; sister, Karen (Jim) Tyla; brothers, James Fetner, David Fetner, and Brian (Traci) Fetner; grandchildren, Alex Wilbourn, Chandler (Hunter) Rhoades, Austin Kilgore, Daniel Kilgore, Kristen (Corey) Hart, and Lilly Rooker; one great-granddaughter, Kora Hart.
A visitation for Aaron will be held Friday, April 8, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A funeral service will occur Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel.
