Alice Virginia Reed

Alice led a life devoted to serving others. She was a nurse for over 50 years and also worked in Prison Ministry. When she was not caring for her family or her community, she devoted her heart and time by serving God first and foremost. Alice also had a soft spot for painting, writing short stories, and cats.

Alice Virginia Reed is survived by her children, Christopher D. Reed, Charles L. Reed; brothers, William M. Graves, Parker P. Graves Jr., and Mark A. Graves; grandchildren, Hunter Reed, C.J. Reed, Ryan V. Reed, Dylan & Meagan Odom, Christopher Reed Jr., Emily Reed, Jessica Reed, Aeriel Christine; and great-grandchildren, Layton Reed, Liam Reed, Ellie Mae Reed, Andrew Odom, Maddie Odom, and Lily Odom.

Alice is predeceased by her husband, William V. Reed Jr; son, William D. Reed; and parents, Parker & Catherine Graves.

The Reed family expresses how much Alice's kind spirit will be missed, but her effect on their life will forever be cherished.

A visitation will be held at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, located at 2029 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, Alabama, 35071. The visitation is scheduled for February 18, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
