Annie R. Drake

.Annie “Ruth” Cargile Drake, age 84 of Morris, Al went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Dec 6, 2016. Ruth was a devoted wife, and wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. She and her husband loved serving the Lord and their community at Glennwood Baptist Church for many years. Ruth truly loved her family and always put their needs before her own. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 ½ years, Clyde Drake; a grandson, Noah Laney; her parents, Claude and Annie Cargile; and a brother, James Martin Cargile. She is survived by her children, Wayne and Brenda Drake, and Becki Drake Langham; her grandchildren, Christy Bice (Mike), Michelle Benefield Smith (Brad), and Robbie Drake (Brittany); great grandchildren, Jayden, Tenley, Gabe, Hudson, Lawson, Jones, and Tucker; her sisters, Mary Jo Mize (Johnny) and Martha Wooten (Jerry); a special friend, Carla McCreless; and several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 5 until 8 PM. Chapel services will be Friday beginning at 11 AM and followed with a Celebration of Life lunch in the fellowship hall at Glennwood Baptist Church
