Barbara Helen Calvert, age 78 of Morris, AL passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2015. Mrs. Calvert graduated in 1980 from Birmingham Southern College at the age of 44 and was retired from KGS Steel. She enjoyed quilting, cooking for her family, reading, gardening, and Alabama Football. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillie Mae Holt and her father, Oscar Leroy Holt. She is survived by her loving children, David Calvert (Kathy), Bonnie Pharris (James), and Patricia Dobbins (George); her 4 grandchildren, Robert “Bobby” Smith (Jessica), Jennifer Griffin, J.D. Calvert, and Rebecca Garrett (Craig); 6 great grandchildren, Savannah Smith, Joel Dobbins, Evan Dobbins, Samarah Dobbins, Addison Smith, and Rylee Smith.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 11th, 2015 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel at 2 PM with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
