Barbara C Peters

Barbara Carolyn Peters was born July 20, 1937 and passed from this life on September 19, 2020 at the age of 83. She was a devoted wife and mother and a faithful member of the North Jefferson Church of Christ (formerly Morris Church of Christ). She loved her family and had a special place in her heart for children. She was a Bible class teacher for many years and babysat over 40 children in her home over the last 35 years.

She is preceded in death by her husband of almost 54 years, Cleon Peters; parents James Carl and Nettie Patterson; sister Jimmie Sue Patterson.

She is survived by her son Kenneth Peters (Ramona); grandsons Wesley Peters (Mindy) and Ethan Peters (Jill); great grandson Barrett Peters who was her pride and joy; Sisters Tommie Gail Brasher (Curtis) and Sherry Brewer (Henry); along with a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. with funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. at Gardendale Ridouts Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow at Morris Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in her memory to North Jefferson Church of Christ Building Fund, P. O.
