Betty H. McCombs

Betty Hayes McCombs, age 77 of Morris, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 20, 2018. She was born to the late Virgil Hayes and Willie Frances Ellison on March 11, 1941. She was a graduate of Warrior High School. She was a devoted mother and homemaker. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family. And her greatest enjoyment was her grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her husband of 60 Years, Herbert McCombs. She is survived by her three children Gregory (Teresa) McCombs, Ricky (Janet) McCombs and Cathy (Scott) Johnsey. Her fourteen grandchildren Rachel Jarrod and Emily (Jonathan), Lacey, Adam, Dylan, Devyn, Justin, Gage (Shelby), Jacob (Alyssa), Christy (Travis), Dante’, Jordan and Carley. Three great grands Grayson, Kinsley, Brantley and two on the way. Sisters are Margie Hinton, Kathleen Mosley (John) and Shirley Mulvehill (Donald) and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Saturday, June 23, 2018 with a time of visitation to begin at 10:00 AM; funeral service at 11:00 AM, followed by her burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, Alabama.
