Carolyn Joyce Liston, of Birmingham, AL, was born on Monday, December 11th, 1944 and went home to be with her heavenly family on Wednesday, March 18th, 2015 at the age of 70. She was a long time member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Mercer, PA. She proudly served as a drug and alcohol prevention counselor for 25 years aith Alethia House. A proud graduate of Woodlawn High School, Class of 63. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to all that met her. There will be a celebration of her life for her immediate family of March 21st, 2015.
She is survived by her father, Reuben Downer; brothers, Richard Downer (Kathy), and Robert Downer (Nancy); sons, Joey Liston (Deb), Thomas Liston and Daniel Patrick Liston (Amy); three grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, Sweet Pea, Ally and Aubie.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations in her honor be made to the Two by Two Animal Rescue of Birmingham.
