Cecil Meadows

Mr. Meadows was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Cecil Meadows, and by siblings Bill Meadows and Jimmie Lou Peacock. He was also preceded in death by a son, Butch Meadows.

Uncle Pete is survived by long-time companion Judy Zellner of Trussville, as well as nieces and nephews Mark Meadows (Kim) of Birmingham, Rev. Matthew Meadows (Jeanna) of Jacksonville, FL, Ann Thomas (Terry) of Alexander City, Gail Barker of Alexander City, and Michael Peacock (Dana) of Columbus, GA, and their families.

Mr. Meadows was a long-time employee of Stockham Valves and Fittings in Birmingham as a security officer. He enjoyed collecting coins and several other types of collectibles in his free time. He also enjoyed playing tennis and watching sports, especially baseball and football. He loved his family and treated his nephews and nieces and their families as his own children. He was a long-time member of New Georgia Baptist Church in Birmingham.

A funeral service for Mr. Meadows will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at 10:00 AM at Ridouts Gardendale Chapel with interment to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
