Charlene B. Osgood

Charlene received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Carson Newman College, Jefferson City, Tennessee and a Master of Education from Middle Tennessee State University. She had a long career of teaching school and retired after 60 plus years of service. While living in Huntsville, Alabama she was a member of Huntsville Bible Church where she served as the church pianist for over 20 years and joined Church 29:11 in Gardendale, while living in Fultondale.

Charlene was preceded in death by her father, Ned Marlow; her mother, Reba Marlow Dugger, and her loving husband, Charles Osgood.

Charlene was survived by her son, Mark Osgood; daughter, Karen Lee Loyd and her husband James Loyd; two brothers, Charles Marlow and his wife Theda Marlow of Frankfort, Kentucky and Harold Marlow and his wife Ada Marlow of Hamiltom, Ohio; one sister, Charlotte Teague and her husband Earl Teague of Hamilton, Ohio; eight Grandchildren; nine Great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; several other family members and friends.

Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with a time of visitation, Tuesday, August 27, 2019 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. Celebration of life service will be Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at 1:00pm. Her entombment will be in the Mausoleum in Valhalla Memory Gardens, Huntsville, Alabama.
