Charles Willard Carlisle

He is survived by his brother Wayne Carlisle; children Brenda Abbott, Michael (Wanda) Carlisle, Robert (Phyllis) Carlisle, Johnny (Leslie) Carlisle, and Patti (Stan) Parker; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and nephew Terry (Annette) Carlisle.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Ellowyne Carlisle; son Charles James Carlisle; parents Will and Vera Carlisle; and sister-in-law Connie Carlisle.

He was a member of Gardendale Baptist Tabernacle where he served in the Bus Ministry for over 10 years.

He enjoyed talking to anyone and everyone, fishing, spending time with his family, westerns, and working.

Brother Greg Lee will be officiating.

A visitation for Charles will be held Tuesday, November 12, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, November 13, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A burial will occur at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, Alabama 35071.
