Charles A. Parker

Charles A. Parker, age 84, of Pinson, Alabama passed away at home surrounded by family on Monday, June 21, 2021. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 24, 2021, from 6-8 pm at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel, Gardendale, AL, and again on Friday, June 22, 2021, from 1-2:30 pm at Peck Funeral Home in Hartselle, AL, with a graveside service following at Herring Cemetery in Massey, AL.

Charles retired from sales at Abercrombie Chevrolet in Hartselle, AL and then worked as a courier for LabCorp in Birmingham, AL. He was a member of McKendree United Methodist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents Willie and Pallie Parker; and siblings Ophelia Orr, Bill Parker, Shirley Bramlett, and Morris Parker.

He is survived by his wife Florence Parker; children Jeff (Valerie) Parker, Vicki (Wayne) Carroll, Dawn (Michael) Ayers, and Traci (Richard) Edwards; grandchildren Jeffrey Parker, Adam Carroll, Rebecca Carroll, Sarah Carroll, Olivia Ayers, Molly Ayers, Mason Ayers, Owen Ayers, Dylan (Kelsie) Edwards, Dayne Edwards; and many nieces and nephews.

Charles loved spending time with family, playing jokes on everyone, and attending the grandkids’ many ballgames and events.
