Charles Gerald Rogers, a resident of Mt. Olive, AL, was born on March 28, 1936 and went home to be with the Lord on June 22, 2017 at the age of 81. Charles was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church Mount Olive and he loved the Lord dearly. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and he will be greatly missed.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel W. and Irma Rogers, and a grandson, Chase Rogers.
Charles is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Rogers, his two daughters, Vicky Guin (Bill) and Cindy Vann (Chuck); two brothers, Philip Rogers (Lou) and Samuel Rogers, Jr. (Nancy); grandchildren, Todd Guin (Lindsay) and Deana Rogers; great grandchildren, Brodie Smith, Maggie Guin, Amelia Guin, and Brett Guin, and a host of family and friends.
Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Monday, June 26, 2017 with a visitation to begin at 11:00am, a funeral service at 12:00pm followed by his burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
