Chris LeNeil Jones

Jones, Chris L. of Morris, AL born February 14, 1956, passed away on September 12, 2014 at the age of 58. Chris was one of a kind, a wonderful and loving son, husband, father and grandfather. He has enjoyed being "Papa Bear" to his two grandbabies more than anyone could imagine. He loved his family and friends and would do anything for them. In his free time he loved Auburn Football and Braves baseball. Chris retired from the Birmingham Police Department in 2010 after 27 years of dedicated service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Willie Mae Jones; brother, Lynn Jones . He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Jones; daughters, Christen Hinds (John) and Lindsay Jones; sisters, Glenene Stewart (Don) and Donna Daniel (Jim); brother, Ronny Jones (Glenda); sisters in law Jeannie Jones and Debbie Burleson (Lance); grandchildren, Camden and Livi Hinds; mother in law, Ruth Campbell; and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to all who helped with his care the last few months and to Comfort Care Hospice who were outstanding with their care and compassion during this difficult time. Visitation will be held Monday September 15, 2014 from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel. A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday September 16, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Oakwood Memorial Gardens. Ridout's Gardendale Chapel directing.
