Conrad Edward Williamson, Jr. A resident of Clay, AL, was born Monday, January 25, 1937 and passed away Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the age of 76. Conrad was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a dedicated public servant and served in law enforcement for 38 years. During this time he served with the City of Trussville, Vestavia Hills, Gardendale and retired from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department. Conrad was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. C.E. Williamson, Sr. and Willie Mae Williamson and a step-son, Joel Clayton. Conrad is survived by his wife Lavada Williamson; daughters Connie Williamson Rackstraw (Scott); brother, William F. Williamson (Markha); sister, Brenda Holliday (Danny); grandchildren, Brinkley Rackstraw ; step-grandchildren, Aaron and Kelsie Clayton; several nieces and a host of friends.
A visitation will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Wednesday, September 18 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm with a funeral service on Thursday, September 19 at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Oakwood Memorial Gardens with military honors.
