Daniel Ray Merritt, age 31 of Gardendale passed away on Sunday, June 28th, 2015. Daniel was a wonderful son, brother, grandson, and friend who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Shirley Posey, Vance Deason, and Don Barron. He is survived by his parents, Dennis and Cheryl Merritt; his sister, Sheila Lynn Daft (Joe Daft); grandparents, Bill and Wanda Merritt, Samuel and Zona Stapler, and Nell Deason; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Chapel services will be held Wednesday, July 1st, 2015 at Ridout’s Gardendale chapel at 3 PM with visitation beginning at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made to Hearts of Hope Church, 108 Hwy 71 No, Suite 104, Alma, Arkansas in honor of Daniel.
