Davis Godsey of Gardendale passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at the age of 83. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Edna Godsey; three sons, David (Sandy), Jimmy, and Jeff Godsey; a granddaughter, Adria Gooch (Eddie); four great grandchildren, Gabriella, Gavin, Garrison, and Gannon.
A visitation will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Friday, December 20th from 9:30 until 10:30 AM and a chapel service will follow at Oakwood Memorial Mausoleum Chapel beginning at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Care First Hospice of Birmingham.
