Diane was a resident of Birmingham and passed away Friday surrounded by her loving family at the age of 64. Diane was a faithful member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for many years and a religious instructor of Youth (CCD) for 15 years. She served as a civil servant and retired from the Social Security Administration after 28 years of service.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Anne Reid and is survived by her husband of 45 years, Russell Scarvey; a son AJ Reid; daughter Cheryl Starr; brother, Adrian Reid; sister Debra Albright (Ron); grandchildren, Jacob Starr and Brantley Reid, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
All services will be the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1460 Pearson Av. S W, West End, AL. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 22 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at with a funeral service Thursday at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens. Services directed by Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel.
