Dixie C. Bentley

Ms. Dixie was a graduate of Mortimer Jordan High School, she then went forward and attended the University of Montevallo, majoring in Early Education. She was also a member of Mt. Olive Alliance Church. Dixie dearly loved her church and cherished her church family. She was known to be a lifelong animal lover that shared a special bond with her cats. She was an avid sports fan, especially of the University of Alabama football. Her gift of caregiving touched many lives, and her warmth made others feel uniquely special.

Dixie C. Bentley is survived by her loving daughter, Danielle Bentley; brother, Charles Cole; sister-in-law, Tanya Cole; brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Cindy Martin; as well as several nieces and cousins. She is predeceased by her husband, Ray Bentley; brother, John Cole; parents, Roy and Ruth Cole; and niece, Toni Cole.

A visitation for Dixie will be held Friday, August 22, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, Alabama 35071. A celebration of life service will occur Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel.
