Donnie Ray Stone

Age 66 was born on April 16, 1951 in Guntersville, Alabama. He left this earth to be with our Lord on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, surrounded by his children, grandchildren, family and friends. Donnie being such a fun loving man holds a very special place in the hearts of everyone he met. He was an Electrician with IBEW local #136, retired from Jefferson Warrior Rail Road, a Shriner, Youth Sports was his passion. He held many titles in Dizzy Dean Baseball including President of the National Board and is now a member of their distinguished Gold Circle. An avid outdoorsman and knife collector. Preceded in death by his loving wife; Beth Cary Stone, parents, Clyde and Vida Stone, in-laws , Bill and Verna Cary, twin sisters; brother, Bobby Stone; sister, Betty Bradford. He is survived by a beloved companion, Donetta Ray; one son, Daniel “Boone” Stone (Deanna); two daughters, DeAndra Stone and Kate Stone; one sister, Sandy Reese (Randy); six grandchildren, Madison (Patrick), Raegan, Marcus, Tray, Lillie and Raylynn; three great granddaughters, Sophia, Shiloh and Adeline; one brother in law, Cecil Bradford; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Donnie Ray Stone will be greatly missed by all that had the honor to know him. Forever in our hearts …. Until we meet again! A Celebration of his Life Service will be held on Saturday February 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel. The Family will receive friends on Friday February 16, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Haig- Rogers cemetery.
