Mrs. Doris Faye was very much a second Mother to me. She was so loving and kind, and I've missed her every single year since Tim and I split up. There are many fond memories of time spent with her and Mr. Roy, not just on holidays, birthdays, etc., but times we were visiting just to see them and the dog they had at that time (Champagne was the first one I knew and loved, and she was followed by others that were sweetly spoiled, too). She was a terrific cook, and enjoyed feeding us her wonderful Southern-style meals any time we were there, and regularly sent us plates of food, always including a delicious dessert. I fondly called her kitchen the "Doris Faye Cafe".  She made the best cornbread I've ever had - all her dishes were great, and made with love. She and Tim were extremely close, and I'm sure he is lost without her, bless his heart. I'm still coming to terms with the loss of my precious Mother. I'll never get over losing her, even though it's been 15 years since she joined her Heavenly Father. My life has been in a downward spiral since she passed. Knowing our parents are no longer suffering is the one thing that seems to help, but they leave a hole in our hearts that can never be filled.  Each time their birthdays and holidays come around, the pain of their absence is deeply felt. I spoke with Mrs. Doris Faye last year, and I'm glad I got to speak with her then. Our last words were that we would pray for each other, and we both said how much we loved each other. She was definitely an "earth angel", and she will now be a guardian angel for the many, many people she loved, who also dearly loved her.  I'm sorry I didn't know when she passed as I would have tried to attend her visitation and/or funeral. I'll never forget her kindness, love and sweet hugs each time I was at her and Mr. Roy's home. May God bless all who will never be the same without her. You will eventually learn to live without her, but never truly get over her loss, I'm sorry to say   😥

I have so many fond memories of Aunt Faye and Uncle R.A. from childhood. Going to the country, petting ponies, running around with my cousins.  Such precious memories... Aunt Faye will be greatly missed by all who loved her. I pray peace and comfort to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her memory will live on thru them...but her spirit is busy rejoicing in heaven with Uncle R.A. right now.💞🙏 All who love her, take comfort she is with our Lord whom she loved and served, laughing, singing, talking, enjoying the heavenly banquet. Ms. Doris was certainly an inspiration to me through the many years as we became friends through New Temple Church.  I will treasure the many fun  trips we shared together. She & Bro Roy both showed their compassion as Christ follower’s wherever they were. She was one more witty lady and you never knew what she might say.😂 . This picture of us was taken on Bro Roy’s Birthday last year.  It was funny that after I had my picture taken with him she said you need to take my picture too! ❤️That was Ms Doris she didn’t want Bro Roy to get all the attention just because it was his Birthday . 😂 She will be missed by all that knew her, but I know she’s in her permanent home in Heaven forever!🙏🏻✝️💔🥲
