.Doris L. Thompson, age 93 of Smoke Rise was born in Laurel, Mississippi in October 1, 1921 and passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2014. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Clyde Thompson. She is survived by her sons, James Ky Thompson (Enid), Steven Wayne Thompson (Mary), and Marcus Lee Thompson; and a daughter, Eva Richardson (Conrad); brother, William Low (Reba); Eight grandchildren, and Eighteen great grandchildren.
Chapel funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd, at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel at 2PM with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Crossroads Baptist Church, 801 Alabama 160, Warrior, AL 35180 in Doris Thompson’s honor.
