Dorothy Owens Smith of Columbia, South Carolina and formerly of Morris, AL passed away Saturday, October 21st, 2017 at the age of 87. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" K. Smith; a son, Billy Smith; brothers, Charles Owens and Esmonde Owens. She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Keown (Tommy) and her son, Johnny Smith (Sylvia); daughter-in-law, Barbara Smith; her grandchildren, Anthony Smith, Catharine Ann Keown, Elizabeth Keown, and Mitchell Smith. Services will be held on Wednesday, October 25th at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Cemetery in Corner. Arrangements are under the direction of Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, Gardendale, AL.
