Dwight served in the United States Army where he was a paratrooper during the Vietnam Conflict.
Dwight was preceded in death by his parents, Buford and Stella Guthrie and a sister, Betty Marie Holmes.
Dwight is survived by one brother, Danny Guthrie; two sisters, Linda F. Brown and Dorothy Morton and her husband Fred; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Dwight's family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Cedar Ridge Veterans Facility for their loving care and support shown to Dwight and the family.
Services for Dwight will be held Friday, February 28, 2020 at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A time of visitation from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM; funeral service at 11:30 AM, followed by his burial at Emeus Cemetery, County Road 831, Cullman, Alabama 35057.
