Earnest, a resident of Mt. Olive, AL, passed away at the age of 72. He was an avid outdoorsman with a great sense of humor who loved to hunt, fish, and work a garden. He enjoyed working on cars and tractors.
Earnest was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Rosa Fields. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Bonnie Fields; sons, Earnest Eugene Fields and Eddie Wayne Fields; daughters, Eva Marie Fields and Debra Ann Fields; brothers, Wayne Fields and Richard Fields; sister, Mary Smith; grandchildren, Danielle, Clayton, Rosa, Braylee, Braeden and Kelsey and a host of other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and his special 4 legged kids, Barney, Bama, Snickers and Gracie.
Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with a visitation on Wednesday, June 25 from 6:00 until 8:00pm; funeral service, Thursday, June 26 at 2:00pm. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
