Fred A. Baggett

.Fred A. Baggett, age 86, of Soddy Daisy, TN was born June 22, 1928 and left this world to join his soul mate, David Josephine Baggett on September 28, 2014. He was preceded in death by parents, Edward and Leola, a son, Freddy, and brothers, Clayton, Dalton, and Luke Baggett. He is survived by his children, daughters, Larke Urban-Vivas, Holly (Fred) Didden, Juanita (Barry) Braddock; and sons, John Messina, William Jones, and Howard (Tracey) McConnell. Grandchildren: Alexandra (Mathew) Toney, Jennifer Messina, Destini (Michael) Wright, Faith McConnell, Coleman Braddock, and Sergi Jones; and great grandchildren, Jake Messina and Savannah Wright; first wife and friend, Elinor Baggett. Fred was retired from U.S. Steel and the United Steel Workers of America (Union). He also served his country proudly in the U.S. Army as a sergeant during the Korean Conflict. Fred was also a long time Mason in the Pleasant Grove Lodge, a Shriner, and a member of The American Legion.

A visitation will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Saturday, October 4th from 12:30 until 1:30 pm followed by a graveside service with masonic rites at Cluster Springs Cemetery beginning at 2 PM.
