George was born September 23, 1948, in Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1966 where he lettered in football and wrestling. He attended Samford University where he received his Bachelor of Science and Bachelors in Anesthesia. He retired from Walker Baptist Medical Center in 2004 after giving anesthesia for 22 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Bessie Ruth Briner. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Cynthia Briner and four children, John (Candice) Bunch of Samson, Al, Kimberly Briner of Hayden Al, Jessica Olinger of Hopkinsville, Ky,, Brett (Candace) Briner of Hayden Al, sister Bette Briner of Hayden Al., and nine grandchildren.
Service to be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Thursday June 22,2023. Family will hold visitation at 1:00 pm with the memorial service to follow at 2:00pm and burial at Elmwood Cemetery.
