George E. Richardson

George E. “Mickey” Richardson, Sr. of Gardendale, AL passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the age of 81. He was a wonderful husband, daddy, granddaddy, and great granddaddy who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. His passion was for souls to come to know Christ and he witnessed to everyone he met. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren T. and Emma Estelle Richardson; two infant children; and a sister, Bertha M. Rhoades. Mickey is survived by his loving family, his wife he called his “First and Only Love”, Joyce I. Richardson; brothers, Everette Richardson, Hugh M. Richardson (Charity), and Warren T. Richardson, Jr. (Margie); brothers-in-law, Farris Keith, Rusty Keith (Teresa), and Rick Keith (Kay); his children, George E. Richardson, Jr., Vicki R. Borella (John), and John T. Richardson (Sherry); seven grandchildren, Kristi, Angelo, Faith, Rachelle, Ben, Chris, and Will; eleven great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.

A visitation will be Tuesday, June 11th at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 5 until 7 PM with chapel funeral services on Wednesday, beginning at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
