Georgia was a sweet, sassy, girly girl. She loved wearing her bows and dresses, watching Frozen because Elsa was her favorite Disney princess, and she loved to sing and dance. Some of her favorite things were anything purple, picking wildflowers, her blankies, finding seashells, her best friend “Cesa” and dancing with her daddy. Her favorite Bible story was Noah’s Ark, and one of her favorite songs was Jesus Loves Me.
Georgia was the little sister of six adoring brothers and spent most days traveling to their many football, basketball, and baseball games. She loved watching the Hayden High School band and loved to pretend that she was the drum major or part of the dance line. She loved going to the ballpark to watch her brothers play, but most of all she loved exploring with her daddy and finding bugs and lizards or playing in the creeks nearby. For as much of a girly girl as she was, she was also tough and could hold her own with her brothers.
One of her parents’ fondest memories was her bedtime routine. She would find her “spot” on mommy’s lap for a bedtime story and then would say “God bless” with her brother Simon. Then daddy would take over and turn out the lights to play shadow dinosaurs with the light from his phone. Finally, she would climb into her daddy’s lap to lay on his chest until she fell asleep. If daddy wasn’t holding her, mommy would lay on the floor beside her bed and hold her finger until she fell asleep sometimes staying there all night.
Georgia is survived by her adoring parents, Howard “Skip” Glover, and Allison Deason Glover; her six protective brothers, David Glover, Stephen (Summer) Glover, Micah Glover, Mason Glover, Jakob Glover, and Simon Glover; her grandparents, Alice Deason (Nana) and Dan Deason (Poppy); and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was welcomed into Heaven by her sibling Anderson Sloan Glover, John L Sims III (Paw), Annie Laurie Sims (Nanny), Earnest N Deason (Papaw), Dorris Evelyn Deason (Memaw), Howard E Freeman (Grandad), and Marjorie Glover (Memaw).
Georgia will be forever remembered as a beautiful blonde haired, blue-eyed, sassy, princess who loved her mommy and daddy and adored her big brothers. She was a ray of sunshine and stole the hearts of all who knew her.
Her family will receive friends on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at the Barn at the Bend (118 Mulberry Fork Drive, Hayden, AL 35079) from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. A Celebration of Georgia’s Life will begin at 2:00 pm.
