Gloria Jean Thompson

Gloria attended Lewisburg Elementary School and graduated from Tarrant High School. She and Bobby were happily married for 57 years. She was alway so loving, kind, and always smiling. She was a faithful member of Glennwood Baptist Church. She worked at various jobs through the years, the last being with Jefferson County Housing Authority.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Artis and Mary Jo Myrick.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Robert H. "Bobby" Thompson; two sons, Tim Thompson (Traci) and Mike Thompson (Toni); two brothers, Curtis Myrick (Brenda) and Steve Myrick (Teresa); one sister, Sheila Myrick; seven grandchildren, Austin Thompson (Staci), Ashley Sutton (Tom), Drew Thompson, Caleb Thompson, Anna Thompson, Jaxon Bast, and Audrey Bast; six great grandchildren, Braden, Kinsleigh, Bradley, Kendall, and Baylor Thompson, and Samuel Sutton, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services for Gloria will be held at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, Gardendale, AL, with a visitation for Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Friday, April 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Following the service Gloria will be laid to rest in Glennwood Baptist Church Cemetery, 1292 Glennwood Road, Morris, AL.
