

Henry, a resident of Warrior, AL, passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 81. Henry served our country in the US Army, he always said he was a farmer and had a long career where he was also a long distance truck driver and a certified blaster in the coal industry.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Lewis and Martha Ann Burns, his loving wife, Edith Jean Burns; siblings, Irene Jett, Robert Burns, Gene Burns and Ulysses Burns, and a son, Kerry Burns.
Henry is survived by his sons, Jimmy Burns and Terry Burns; siblings, Nelly Ruth Corbit, Eddie Burns, John (Bert) Burns; grandchildren, Bo Hunter (Brandee), Joseph Burns (Katie), Josh Burns (Ashley), Jacob Burns, Jarrod Burns, Emily Burns, Elysia Burns, and Hannah Burns; great grandchildren; Rian Jones, Weston Hunter, Eli Jones, Saul Jones, and Wyatt Burns; other family, Steve Norman (Diane), Daniel (Chelsea), and Halli Norman; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with a visitation, Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 6pm until 8pm; funeral service Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 11:00am followed by his entombment in the Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Mausoleum, Gardendale, AL.
