Ira Steven Graves, age 65 of Gardendale passed away Wednesday, September 07, 2011. He was a member of Gardendale First Baptist Church and long time Parts Manager for A&A Auto Parts in Fultondale. Steve owned and operated Doss Automotive in Gardendale from 1992 until 2008. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. Survivors include his son, Leland Lee Graves and fiancé Jill Roberts; mother, Jimmie Dee Graves; brother, Randy Graves (Rhonda); nephews: Grady Graves (Sonya), Adam Harland (Bronwyn) and Steven Harland and fiancé Beth; niece, Danielle Culverhouse (Chris); former wife Penny Graves; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. His graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 9, 2011 at Oakwood Memorial Gardens. Rev. Mark Harrison is officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the VA Medical Center in Birmingham, AL. Arrangements under the direction of Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 205-631-6252 in Gardendale, AL.
