Jackie Leigh Shoemaker

Jackie was surrounded by family and friends as she passed peacefully to Glory meeting Jesus face to face. Her enormous heart allowed her to love each and every person she encountered. Her laugh and sense of humor was so contagious, it was impossible not to love her. Her faith and trust in God allowed her to fight so courageously. She attended worship and was a member of McCombs Chapel.

Jackie is preceded in death by her father and mother, Frank and Geneva Smith and her husband, Joe Shoemaker.

Jackie is survived by her daughters, Teresa (Roger) Blevins, Sherry (John) Hoggle, and Angie Delaremont; sister, Eva Smith Logan; brothers, William Smith and Richard (Jeanie) Smith, along with a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A visitation for Jackie will be held Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A funeral service will occur Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A burial will occur at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, Alabama 35071.
