Jerry B. Chamblee

Dec 6, 1955 – May 26, 2015

Jerry, a resident of Brookside, AL, went home to be with the Lord at the age of 59. Jerry graduated from Rogers Area Vocational Center, Gardendale, AL, class of 1975. During his career as a fabricator, he worked for Ingalls Iron Works, McBee Steel, Vulcan Trailer and Trinity Fabrication. He was a mason with the Brookside Masonic Lodge 552 and a member of the Brookside Baptist Church. Jerry served the Lord faithfully in his daily life. He was a loving man who always put the needs of others ahead of his own, was a great servant of the community that he loved, and he will be greatly missed.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Jamie and Donald B. Chamblee; brothers, Donald R. Chamblee and Joe E. Chamblee; a nephew, Donald J. Chamblee.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Lisa B. Chamblee; brothers, Jimmy H. Chamblee (Peggy) and Ralph W. Chamblee; sister, Sue C. Marsh (Gary); special friend, Lewis Cornelius, many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Friday, May 29th, 2015, with a visitation beginning at 1pm; funeral service at 2pm followed by his burial at Bivens Chapel Cemetery, in Brookside, AL. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to your favorite charity.
