Jimmy A Barnett

Jimmy A. Barnett, age 85, of Boaz, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 29, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Dorothy Barnett, and his beloved wife of 50 years, Faye Barnett.

He is survived by his children, Georgia Annette Barnett, Phillip Barnett (Becky), Sherrie Knowles, Gina Arnold; grandchildren, Aaron Barnett, Jaclyn Brooke Harildstad, Tyler Arnold, and Jarrett Arnold; great-grandchildren, Walter Harildstad, Kandiss Swann, and Aubrey Barnett. Jimmy is also survived by his siblings, Danny Barnett (Sherrill) and Sharon Sandlin, along with a host of nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

Jimmy had a successful career working for Purina, Goldkist, and Pilgrims chicken hatcheries, and was the proud owner of Manasco Inc. He was a long-time member of Second Baptist Church of Boaz.

A visitation to honor Jimmy's life will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, located at 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM, with burial at Walkers Chapel Cemetery.

Jimmy will be remembered for his kind spirit, his commitment to family, and his lasting impact on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community.
