("Poppa Joe", to all who knew and loved him), age 72, of Gardendale, Alabama, passed away on August 12, 2015. Joe was born in Charleston, West Virginia on September 16, 1942. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved Alabama Football, Braves baseball and Nascar.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne French, father and mother: Theodore and Mae French, brother, T.L. "Jerry" French and Sister Carol French.
Survivors include: two sons Mark (Angie) French of Fultondale and Joe (Angie) French of Springville, AL. Four grandchildren, Jacob (Candice), Tyler, JP and Joely French, one great grandchild Olivia French, and sister, Judy San Angelo, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel on Saturday, August 15, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Graveside service and burial will be held immediately following visitation at 1.30 PM at Moncrief Cemetery in Gardendale, Alabama. Ridout's Gardendale Chapel is directing.
