A celebration of life will be held at 11:30 AM, Saturday, July 15, at Hopewell Baptist Church, 9076 Hopewell Church Road, Pinson, AL 35126. Afterward, a lunch will be hosted by his church family for all to gather in fellowship and share what an amazing man, husband, father, PopPop, and friend he was.
John (or Dennis as so many knew him) married the love of his life, Mary Ellen (Floyd) on August 18, 1973. The two were inseparable through all of life’s ups and downs and side by side until the very end.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen; his daughter, Jennifer; his son and daughter-in-law, John and Chelsea; and three grandchildren, Jerrod, Sarah, and Presley.
