June E. Goolsby

June Reed Goolsby, age 81 of Mount Olive, Al passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 with her family by her side. June was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. She retired from Mary Kay Cosmetics after a 43 year career. June was a longtime member of Mount Olive First Baptist Church where she was very active and served as a Sunday school teacher and sang in the choir. She was also very involved as a Training Union Leader, Mission Action Leader, a Nursing Home Ministry and Jail Ministry, and the Home Bound Ministry to shut-ins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy P. Goolsby; a brother and her three sisters. She is survived by her son, Greg Goolsby; two daughters, Donna Goolsby and Sandy King (Steve); a brother, Lamar Reed; grandchildren, Brett King, Zeb King, Seth King, Hubbard Ryan Gravlee, and Austin Gravlee; eight great grandchildren with another on the way. Services will be held on Saturday, February 27th at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel at 2 PM with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Mount Olive Cemetery. Rev. Alton King will officiate.
