On Thursday, June, 20th, Kenneth Edward Drake I, passed away surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He was born in San Diego, CA, to Buema Thelma and Edward Lamar Drake, on July 22, 1943. Kenneth is survived by his sister, Kay Milender; his children, Lisa Cannon, Kenneth Drake II, Genalyn Drake, and Laurie Drake; and his grandchildren, Dylan Cannon, Drake Cannon, and Cathleen Drake.
Kenneth was incredibly proud of his 44 years of combined Federal service at the US Postal Service and the US Army. He will always be remembered for his kindness, his sharp wit, and his unconditional love for his family.
There will be a private graveside service for his family, but we invite you to his celebration of life on Thursday, June 27th, at the Olive Grove Congregational Methodist Church from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
His family requests that you make donations in his name to Home Base Veteran and Family Care in lieu of flowers.
