He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Self; parents, Brooks Self and Betres McCombs; brother Lynn Lollar and sister, Janice Dawkins.
Survivors include daughter, Cindy Boren; son, Mark Self (Teresa); granddaughters, Amanda Boren and Andrea Boren; brothers, Larry Lollar (Wanda) and Wayne Lollar (Rosemary) along with sister, Judy Smith.
He served his country in the United States Air Force where he retired as a Master Sergeant. He also retired from a career with Jefferson County.
A visitation for Kenneth will be held Friday, November 10, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hopewell Baptist, 9076 Cotton Rd, Pinson, AL 35126. Following the visitation will be a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery next to the church.
